This Privacy Policy explains how Trackspend (“Trackspend”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Trackspend mobile application (the “App”) and the website at trackspend.digitaappworld.uk (the “Site”). By using the App or the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Our privacy-first approach

Trackspend is designed to keep your financial information on your device. The App does not require you to create an account or sign in, and your transactions, budgets, goals, investments, and other entries are stored locally on your device using your operating system's standard storage. We do not operate a central database of your financial records.

2. Information we do not collect

• We do not collect or store your income, expenses, budgets, savings goals, account balances, or investment details on our servers.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• Statement files you import (CSV, PDF, or photos) are processed on your device. Text recognition (OCR) runs locally; imported statements are not uploaded to us.

3. Information that may be processed

Depending on the features you use, limited information may be processed as follows:

• Optional AI Coach. If you enable an AI coaching endpoint, a summary of your finances may be sent to the service provider you configure in order to generate responses. You control whether this feature is enabled and which endpoint it uses. If you do not configure an endpoint, the on-device coach is used and no data is sent.
• Optional cloud backup. If you choose to enable device-based iCloud backup, your data is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to it.
• Contact requests. If you email us or use our contact form, we receive the information you choose to provide (such as your name, email address, and message) solely to respond to you.
• Website analytics & hosting. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most websites, standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the Site.

4. Permissions

The App may request access to certain device capabilities only when needed, such as Face ID / Touch ID for the optional app lock, files you select for import, and notifications you choose to enable. You can manage these permissions at any time in your device settings.

5. How information is used

Any information processed is used only to provide and improve the App and Site, to respond to your requests, and to keep our services secure. We do not use your financial entries for advertising.

6. Data retention & control

Because your data lives on your device, you control it. You can edit or delete entries, export your data, or remove all data by deleting the App. Information you send us by email is retained only as long as needed to address your request.

7. Children's privacy

Trackspend is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Third-party services

Optional features may rely on third parties you choose to use (for example, an AI provider you configure, Apple iCloud, or your email provider). Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

9. International users

The App keeps data on your device wherever you are. If you contact us, your message may be processed in the country where we or our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App or Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
